Memory Verse
“The LORD God is like a sun and a shield. He gives kindness and honor. He doesn’t hold back anything good from those who do what's right” —Psalm 84:11.

Watch the video first.

Have you ever been outside playing on a sunny day and had to block the rays of light from your eyes? The sun is warm and powerful—it helps flowers grow, warms your skin, and lights up the world.

God is kind of like that. When you trust in Jesus, He shines powerfully into your life with love and truth. He helps you grow inside—strong, brave, and full of hope.

Imagine standing in a big open field with the sun shining all around you. Can you feel it? That peaceful, happy feeling when you know God is near?

You don’t have to be in a special place to feel God’s presence. He’s with you right now. You can talk to Him, trust Him, and listen for His quiet voice in your heart and mind.

Sometimes, the sky gets dark. Maybe you’ve felt that way inside, too—when you’re worried, sad, or afraid. In the video, the girl ran under the shelter during a storm. But even with rain falling, she was calm. She knew God was with her.

When you’re scared or facing something hard, God is your shield. He wraps you in His love and stays with you, no matter what.

After the rain stopped, the girl stepped out into the sunshine again. She smiled big and lifted her hands toward the sky.

You can do that too! You can praise God for being with you in every moment—the sunny ones and the stormy ones. When you trust in Jesus as your Savior and Forever Friend, He will never leave you. And because God loves you, He will not keep good things from you.

Let's Pray
Dear God, Thank You for being the Light to guide me, and the Shield to protect me. I know You are with me in happy times and hard times. Help me to trust You and remember that You love me and won’t hold back anything good. I love You. Amen.

Let’s Talk About It

How do we learn what's right?
When do you feel closest to God?
Have you ever felt like you were in a “storm” inside?
What are some good things God has given you lately?
How can you remember that God is with you, even on hard days?
