2)
Teaching Communion to Children
Hi!
Communion is a tricky subject to teach to 4-10 year olds. I think you have to start with your denomination's doctrine first. Once you have figured out what your church believes then you can begin teaching...

3) Teaching Communion to Children
In teaching communion to 4-10 year olds it seems to me that it should be kept as simple
as possible.
If they can hear about Jesus as the good shepherd who doesn't run away when the wolves
come, who gave his life for the sheep, and can receive that he is the bread which came down from heaven and that in following his commandments causes us to suffer because
of our weak nature at times, and finding ourselves falling short of what is required, we in
that condition do partake of his suffering on the cross, and by that we later on find new life
in him. This walk is our way of life in Jesus and by partaking of the bread which represents his body and the juice or wine which represents his blood, we remember what
manner of people we are and who his is and the life that is ours being connected to him.
I suppose it's not easy to keep simple. If children find it hard at times to obey their parents, parents also find things hard at times. We all need Jesus.

4) Games
Using the Bible
>
I am trying to get some ideas for games to use for the youth at my church that
would involve using their bibles
Bible
Book Clues, Bible Names Scramble and Bible Jeopardy are
great Bible games. You can find them listed in the Anytime Bible Games
section at: http://www.sundayschoolnetwork.com/page10.html

8) Holy Week Museum
Last year I made a mini- museum of stuff for Holy Week. Such as a basket of flat bread and a cup with a picture of the last supper, a cross and nails, folded cloth bandages and a picture of the empty tomb. My kids loved it, and several adults did too!
