1) Making a Whale?

To whom it may concern:
I just found your newsletter online, and I am so impressed. I am in charge
of VBS at our church this summer. I am trying to design a whale. I thought
of PVC pipe , and noticed an idea by Theresa in your newsletter, the
Sunday School Teacher's Network Vol 1 -- Number 85 August 23, 2000. Could
you please see if you can get more info from Theresaabout how they made
the frame from PVC pipe.That would be wonderful!! Hope to hear from you
soon.

2)Not Quitting Lesson?

I am looking to have a youth group do a whole worship service based around
the subject of "Not Quitting".  I have a couple ideas, but need some help.
Skits, songs, etc.  Thanks, Cindy

A radical Egyptian terrorist changed from a murderous “Saul” to a
forgiving “Paul” after Jesus Christ visited him in a soul-penetrating
dream.
A Fulani herdsman in Nigeria found the deep love and lordship of Jesus
Christ through a series of remarkable dreams.
An Indonesian teenager let down by family, friends and society, became a
Christian the night Jesus appeared to her in a vision.
A young Iranian man, depressed and without hope, met Jesus Christ in a
vision.
A Turkish man in bondage to alcohol saw Jesus in a dream and his life was

4) God's The Boss?

I have to conduct a workshop for Children ages 3-6.  The theme is "God's
The Boss Psalms 99 1-4".  I have played match game with them and that was
a big hit.  Do you have any other suggestions on how to keep them busy for
at least 3 hours. 

I would be every grateful for any help that you may give.

5) Are You Giving 101% ?

What Equals 100%? What does it mean to give MORE than 100%?
Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%?
We have all been in situations where someone wants you to give over 100%.
How about achieving 101%? What equals 100% in life?
 
Here's a little mathematical formula that might help you answer these
Questions:
If: A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z
Is represented as:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 1 9 20 21 22 23 24 25 26.
 
Then:
 
H-A-R-D-W-O-R- K
8+1+18+4+23+15+18+11 = 98%
 
and
 
K-N-O-W-L-E-D-G-E
11+14+15+23+12+5+4+7+5 = 96%
 
But,
 
A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E
1+20+20+9+20+21+4+5 = 100%
 
AND, look how far the love of God will take you
 
L- O- V- E-O-F-G-O-D
 
12+15+22+5+15+6+7+15+4 = 101%
 
Therefore......one can conclude with mathematical certainty that:
While Hard work and Knowledge will get you close,
and Attitude will get you there .... BUT ........
it's the Love of God that will put you over the top!

6) Jesus Celebrated Hanukkah
 
I recently visited the 'gift shop' of a local  Jewish Synogogue to
purchase dreidels (we're doing a lesson on Jesus as a boy - he most likely
played games!).......i'm sure they would have the music your'e looking for
(or even direct you to a Jewish school, website)
