1) Review: God's Top Ten

I ordered the Top Ten for VBS and I just want to thank you for the material. It is truly from the Lord. Very easy to teach and easy for the children to understand. Praise the Lord for you ability to listen to the Lord and share with others. It would also be very good for youth and adults. The games the children really liked, they didn't want to quit. The refreshments were very good also. The teachers and myself are truly thankful. We are a Spanish mission and the name is El Mensajero De Vida. In English, Messenger of Life.

I hope to be ordering again. May God bless you in your mission to others. Nancy, Franklin, NC

2) Share the Gospel in a New, Old Way!

I want to share something that is happening right before our eyes in our little church of about 50 people.

The Gospel colors and bracelets have been around for ages - but our church is finding out "everything old is new again". I had taken bracelets like these I tell you about to El Salvador the past 2 years on my mission trips. They were a huge success and opened conversations everywhere out team served.

I recently taught our Children's Church and explained the gospel colors using a bracelet using the colors in beads. Each color had scripture that an adult in our audience read after the bead's color was explained. Each child received a bracelet that was tied on their wrist and a card with the colors, meaning and scripture references on it. After they had their bracelets on, I had the children give everyone in the audience a bracelet and a card too. They were so happy! And the adults were very pleased to receive the bracelets as well. I instructed everyone to share the gospel to friends and neighbors and even give their bracelet to someone AFTER they had shared God's gift of salvation with them. The following week several had done just that! Not just the children, but adults as well.

One family of 6 each had shared the message and given their cards and bracelets away within a few days. The kids wanted to make bracelets too so the parents bought the supplies and they are busy making gospel bracelets to share!

One of our 7 year olds gave her bracelet away that evening at a park to a girl she didn't know. She shared what each color stood for, and asked the child to repeat the message to her.

My husband was wearing his at a Sam's club and the cashier asked him about it. He shared the Gospel for the first time in his life with someone! And promised to bring her a bracelet the next time he shopped there.

My 10 year old granddaughter has given 3 away, to a neighbor, and to someone at 2 different camps she has attended.

My friend, Shirley has a shut in ministry. She began taking the bracelets with her to explain the gospel and soon found out the elderly wanted bracelets too. Some to remind them how much God loves them. Others wanted to share with their grandchildren and visitors.

My friend, Polly works at a Crisis Pregnancy center. She has shared with fellow workers that then wanted bracelets and with clients coming into the center.

One of our men is working at our church camp as counselor this week. Carl asked for bracelets and the scripture cards to share with his cabin of boys. He took 17 "kits" with him to share with his cabin of boys.

My future daughter-in-law, Hope, is also one of the counselors at the camp. Hope packed fingernail polish in the gospel colors with her to help with a special devotion in the girls cabin.

3) God's Armor Chant

(Chanted to the “tune” of the military cadence call “Sound Off”)

Salvation’s Helmet Tells me Who I Am
A Powerful Soldier Under Christ’s Command
Satan’s Lies are Very Wrong
The Belt of Truth Makes Me Strong

Chorus:
God’s Armor (God’s Armor)
For Me (For Me)
God’s Armor For Me In Which I Stand

The Breastplate of Righteousness is Forever Mine
That’s Wh-y Jesus Came and Died
I have the Power to do What is Right
I’m Always Ready for Satan’s Fight

The Shield of Faith Protects Every Part
I can Extinguish Satan’s Darts
God has Given His Word to Me
Like a Sword - Defeats the Enemy

God’s Armor even Covers my Feet
Courage to Fight with the Gospel of Peace
Above All Let Us Pray
To Live in God’s Strength Every Day

4) God is For Me?

Hey, I am Rogers and am planning to evaluate my children in the topics about "God is for me and Jesus is Lord of all." I wanted to use activities and games, can you help me in this area? God bless you!

5) Armor of God Song I wrote

On our head we wear the helmet of salvation.
On our chest we wear the plate of righteousness.
Our feet are shod with the preparation of the Gospel.
We gird our loins with the Spirit of Truth.
We carry the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.
We protect ourselves with the Shield of Faith.
For we wrestle not with flesh, but principalities.
We wear the Armor of Light to fight the world of the dark. (Amen!)
We wear the Armor of Light to fight the world of the dark. (Amen!)

Taught it to the Youth group and the Sunday School class. Sorry I can't communicate the tune.

6) The Devil and the Duck

There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm. He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods.
He practiced in the woods; but he could never hit the target. Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner.
As he was walking back he saw Grandma's pet duck. Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head and killed it. He was shocked and grieved! In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile; only to see his Sister watching! Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing.

After lunch the next day Grandma said, 'Sally, let's wash the dishes.'

But Sally said, 'Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen.'

Then she whispered to him, "Remember the duck?'

So Johnny did the dishes.

Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grandma said, 'I'm sorry but I need Sally to help make supper.'

Sally just smiled and said, 'well that's all right because Johnny told me he wanted to help.

She whispered again, 'Remember the duck?' So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed to help.

After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's; he finally couldn't stand it any longer.

He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed the duck.

Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug and said, 'Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because I love you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you.'

Thought for the day and every day thereafter: Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done...the devil keeps throwing your sins and failures in your face (lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, etc.)...whatever it is...You need to know that: God was standing at the window and He saw the whole thing. He has seen your whole life. He wants you to know that He loves you and that you are forgiven. He's just wondering how long you will let the devil make a slave of you?

The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness; He not only forgives you, but He forgets. It is by God's grace and mercy that we are saved. God is at the window! When Jesus died on the cross; he was thinking of you!

7) Praying for Wounded, Sick Child?

Do you have a lesson attached with scriptures on praying for a wounded/sick child in Sunday School?

9) Lessons for Boys?

I am the Children's Church teacher for a small, rural church in Northern Michigan. The Children's Church class is for ages 4-12. Our church recently has had a increase in boys. I had one Sunday recently where my whole class was 11 boys! I would like some suggestions of where I could find resources and/or websites that have lessons geared for boys.

Thank you.

--from SSTN: boys like to move, so lessons that engage them physically are the key to capturing their hearts and minds. All of the Bible-4-Life curricula includes games and other active hands-on techniques to reinforce the lessons.
