1) The First Sunday School?
Do you have the information on the first Sunday School. I think it was started in England when someone wanted to help poor and homeless children.

2) Ten Thumbs Up for Fruit of the Spirit Lessons
I am just excited to report that I ordered the Fruit of the Spirit Bible
Lessons and used it during our first ever Bible Day Camp.
It was indeed spirit filled and the teachers and children enjoyed every moment, every lesson, every activity, especially the yummy devotions.
If I had 10 thumbs, it would get all 10 thumbs up.
I am looking forward to purchasing and receiving more lessons from your network.
Thank you and God bless you all
Jacqueline
--from SSTN: Dear Jacqueline, thank you so much for your encouraging words!

3) A Blessing Site
I really like what you’re preaching through your web
site. It’s really a blessing to those who have the chance to read.
It helps build our relationship with God. Example: Some people don’t know most
of the things in the bible but your program can help a lot. I think that’s all i can comment on.
Thanks,
Regards
Joana

4) Frustrated With SSTN
I use to get this newsletter without difficulty and just read it right down to the last paragraph. Now I have to go online, click on where if my
program does not allow me to read ... well, I haven't changed a thing so why do I have to do differently now in order to read your newsletter? A
little frustrated? Ann
--from SSTN:
Hi Ann, SSTN #33 explained the change. We're trying something
new because the cost for sending out the bulk newsletter to over 21,000 people has increased three-fold. It's quite expensive.
Therefore to keep it free, one way to cut the cost is by shortening the content of the newsletter that is emailed, then provide a link to read the entire newsletter in the site. It's a matter
now of clicking a link to read it. Are you not able to go online? This is a
trial period to see if it works better.
The only other solution is a mandatory charge. I'm trying to avoid this.
Kindly,
Sarah Keith

5) Back to School Craft
I teach age 5 through 5th grade Sunday school. This year we're making tags and shrink plastic key chains to hang on their backpacks for our back to school project.
For the tags, I purchased self-sealing laminating pouches. I typed up some Bible verses and printed them out and cut them to fit the pouches. The kids will decorate the verses and place them in the pouches and seal them. Then I'll punch a hole in the laminated pouch and attach a ring or tie, and the kids can attach the finished tags to their backpacks.
For the key chains, I purchased some shrink plastic pages. I picked out easy-to-trace pictures that were Biblical in nature. Place shrink art over picture and tape down. Using different colored permanent markers, the kids trace and color in the picture of their choice. Cut around the picture, leaving a 1 inch place at the top of the picture to punch a hole through. Use a hole punch to punch the hole. Set pictures on brown paper bag covered cookie sheet. Bake at 300 and watch closely. The plastic is finished when it's shrunk and lies flat again. String a chain or ring through the hole.

6) Friendship, Relationship, Fellowship?
I'm preparing a Sunday school lesson on the differences between friendship,
relationship and fellowship.
Any creative ideas as to how to explain
these differences in a memorable way?
