1) Creative Story Telling
I want to tell you about a wonderful book by Steven James...The creative
story telling guide for childrens' ministry. He has also done The sharable
Parables. For any of us that would love to be more creative in our story
telling I'm sure you will absolutley love this book.
It gives so many wonderful ideas which you can use for any story.

--from SSTN: you can find his books by typing

2) Positive reinforcement
Thanks so much for the most helpful suggestion with the stars for correct
behavior and no mention made of negative behavior. I love it and its
exactly the kind of thing I had in mind. I willl share this with the
partner I share the class with.
First we'll establish what behaviors we should expect. Thanks for the
encouragment.

3)Symbols of Christmas?
I saw long ago the meaning of each Christmas item but I cant seem to
remember it or find it anywhere. For example... the star stands for
something... the present represents the gift God gave us in sending His
Son, the candy cane, the tree, the bell and so on. If anyone can share it
with me I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank You and God Bless

4) Happy Birthday Jesus Party?
I want to try something different this year with my toddler Sunday School
class of four children. I thought it would be neat to have a Happy
Birthday Jesus Party Christmas Eve morning. I would love any suggestions
and ideas that you may have. I am thinking about getting cupcakes with a
baby on top of each. I thank you in advance for any ideas and
suggestions! God Bless you all and Merry Christmas!

6) A Single Cell...creation
You won't believe this video. It shows the inner life and workings of ONE
SINGLE cell! It is indescribable how wonderful it is! I saw a presentation
on this a few days ago on TV and just received an email from
http://pointsoforigins.com referring to the video.
Make sure you take note of the "thing" that walks along a chain-like
structure. The scientist on TV said that the "thing" (he didn't call it a
thing) that walks can only walk in one direction upward and that the slots
the "thing" steps into are "designed" to fit it's "feet" exactly.
This is so unique, amazing and unbelievable, yet every cell in our body is
building up and tearing down, like you'll see in the video, at every
second of every day. It is actually a "common place" occurrence!
Tell me we weren't created! Let all creatures praise the King!

7) Bible Software
I admit I have not used Biblesoft. I do use a free full-featured program
called e-Sword. It is available as a download at www.e-sword.net. The
author is a former IBM programmer and a current Sunday School teacher. A
host of add-on modules are also available to download free so the program
is tailored to the user's needs. The basic KJV text is keyed to Strong's
numbers for word studies on concepts. Several contemporary Bible versions
(ESV, God's Word [for the Nations], Good News for Modern Man, CEV, World
English Bible, MKJV, etc.) are available, too. The NIV and the NKJV are
not available. Bible references in the TSK (cross reference system) and
the included commentaries are hot linked so a box pops up with the verse
in it whenever the cursor is moved over a hot link. Text from all modules
may be copied and pasted to a document. The program may be given free to
anyone, but may not be sold. I give it and some other resources on a disc
to my confirmation students and teach them how to use it. The author of
the program is now dependent on e-Sword for his income and likes to
receive
donations, but a donation is not required.
