Basket-weaving
Use ribbon or natural raffia to weave in and out of the sides of the basket. Use it to hold small treasures.

Mini-Easter Baskets
Fill with grass and place small candies in it. Distribute to children in your neighborhood or classes.

Moses' Basket
I have used the baskets for telling the story of Baby Moses. We cut brown bags into strips and weaved the paper through the holes in the baskets, then crumbled up newspapers and placed in the bottom, cut brown construction paper to make it look like straw, made a blanket out of small scraps of fabric, and placed a miniature baby doll, like the kind you can purchase for baby showers, in the basket. They are nice and very inexpensive to make. 

Also, you can make nice Easter baskets, by weaving ribbon through the holes, placing Easter grass in it, and adding a handle made out of wired ribbon.
